Decatur needs bold ideas. There are many important ideas being worked on continuously. However, bold ideas are needed to propel Decatur to a new level. What are some of these bold ideas. Build an industrial ag research park and promote Decatur as an ag research center.

Establish a lake-based casino gambling tourist attraction in Nelson Park.

Recruit an Illinois department of state government to Decatur.

Exploit and promote Decatur’s central location as a major distribution hub in the midwest.
